We specialise in the management of long term conditions of all sorts but especially diabetes and mental health.

We operate a strict policy that most patients on any long term medication should have a check every six months.

Cervical Smears

Please book an appointment with the nurse for these. The best time to have these done, if you are still having them, is two weeks from the start of the last period.

Remember Cervical Cancer is a preventable disease and still tragically strikes a disproportionate number of women every year who have never had a smear or have had one infrequently.

MINOR OPERATIONS

Minor Surgery

The surgery is able to offer a wide range of minor surgical procedures in-house and specialise in joint injections for rheumatic conditions. Please contact us for details.

BABY CLINIC

Child Health

We offer comprehensive Child Health Services in conjunction with our Health Visitor and School Nursing colleagues. We routinely offer Baby Checks at 6-8 weeks of age in conjunction with the first child immunisations and post natal checks. Routine childhood vaccinations are provided by the surgery and are administered by the practice nurse.

If you are concerned or worried about anything and you have read or heard regarding any vaccination or diseases they protect against, please talk to us.

Maternity Services

We offer shared care during pregnancy. Please let reception know that your appointment is for antenatal care, as this allows us to allocate appropriate time. Again for your convenience we do all postnatal checks at 6-8 weeks after the baby is born and usually this is combined with a routine baby check.

Family Planning Services

We offer on site, convenient, full, expert and comprehensive range of family planning methods to our patients including fitting of inter-uterine devices and systems as well as fitting of contraceptive implants, at our practice. Female doctors are available upon request.
